Role and Responsibilities

As a Amazon Order Picker at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring orders are accurately processed and shipped on schedule. This active, hands-on role takes place in a high-energy, fast-moving environment where collaboration and technology drive results. Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving and Processing: Unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and inventory.

• Picking and Packing: Use handheld scanners to select customer orders and pack items securely for delivery.

• Shipping: Label, stage, and prepare packages for timely shipment.

• Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (with certification) and perform necessary safety checks.

• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.

• Safety and Compliance: Follow Amazon safety procedures, OSHA standards, and PPE requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

• Basic computer skills and experience with handheld scanners or warehouse systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in warehouse or logistics (optional)

• Forklift certification is a plus; training available if needed
